What will you do if an incredible idea pops into your head and refuses to go away?

• Do you just sit around and dream about it. Maybe tell your friends briefly?
• Do you find ways to take it as far as it will go, even though you’re not sure where or how to start?

Many of the biggest success stories we now see in the market started from option b.

These are the ideas that were successfully brought to fruition by their believers against all odds – including apprehension from well meaning detractors like family, friends and financiers, who often cannot see how something that has never been done before can survive in a crowded, competitive world.

IEX Modular

During the process of creating the IEX Asian Heritage, Ideas Empire and Modular captured the moment, journey and the story of Steven Low, a master ceramist residing at Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle. This is part of a full length video documentary into the making of IEX Food Prints Collection. What is KALKITOS?

KALKITOS is a collection of rub-down transfer activity games that was hugely popular back in the 1970s. Players are given sheets of blank scenery which they can fill up wherever they like with transfer images of people, animals, objects, vehicles to create their own unique stories. Fans – whom we affectionately call KITOS – all over the world love playing with KALKITOS because it gives them the freedom to create their own fantasy worlds. Now, you too can join them and enjoy endless hours of fun scratching out exciting scenarios and fantastic escapes!

Zullikhan Abdullah, one of the directors of Singapore-based Ideas Empire Pte Ltd, registered the rights to Kalkitos (a name that was previously owned by Gillette until 1983), and has set about reviving the once-popular hobby. He (Zullikhan) wanted to preserve Kalkitos as what it used to be and re-introduce or re-educate what was once a toy/game played that instilled so much memory.

It is the only hair salon to be located in one of the 2 integrated resorts (casino-based) in Singapore.

IE coined the name ‘Salon Royale’ and together with Hatch Design Consultants came up with the logo identity. The interior design focuses to be different from any other ‘standard’ salons.

This product was given the indefinite incubation due to the high cost in prototyping. However, IE has put in place UP’s branding and learnt many aspects that involve with the realisation of the product.

THE IDEA

To design, produce and market a pocket-size, self heating, designer espresso which consumers can bring along wherever they go for an instantly satisfying caffeine fix.
